Hello All,

I told you I’d be working on some more personal stuff over the coarse of the next few months. Well, we all know that tax day is not a good day in America, and for hard working producers. it sucks even more. Getting paid for music is not like getting paid at your job. Your company will automatically take money out to protect themselves. When you work for yourself it’s all up to you. Sometimes, it’s the choice between rent and…rent. So I have done a real good job to try to correct past issues I’ve had with those people, but no matter how hard you try, there is ALWAYS some else to pay for, or tax modifications, or ungodly interest fees. Well, because of my love for our Government, I wrote this song. I was feeling a little annoyed the day it happened to me (Yes this is a true story) so I was able to channel my Sid Vicious side. It’s raw, but that’s the point. Enjoy

P.S. Don’t audit me.

I was reading through my good friend Linda Latta’s blog the other day where she had written a very insightful piece about acknowledging signs. It got me thinking about fate and divine intervention. Being of Jewish faith, we have always had a pessimistic outlook on signs. Signs can be ambiguous in nature, easily misinterpreted, or just plain wrong. Out of all the practices of the faith, there is one idea that I believe is something all should live by.

DON’T WAIT FOR SOMETHING TO HAPPEN, MAKE IT HAPPEN.

As you all know, Check One Two is in full swing. The band is rocking and we got some real heat coming through. Strangely enough though, as the principle producer of the group, I can’t help but feel like something is missing in my musical life. I can’t tell you how often I have made a song and scrapped it because it didn’t sound like CO2. Looking back, I was really doing myself a disservice because it is obviously something that my soul needed to get out. The trick is balancing the two sides together, not showing favoritism for one side or the other. If I make a track that could work for both, than obviously it’s going to CO2. Is it me or were these the worst Grammy’s in years? Excluding the fact that the show is always boring, the performances, which are usually the only redeeming quality were just horrible.

Kanye West’s Stronger was overblown fluff. Sorry Kanye, I saw that performance before, when it was called Tron.

Brad Paisly, did he look like he hated standing on stage? No emotion whatsoever. His voice never left the lower register.

I like mash ups just as much as the next guy, but they weren’t thought out at all. Read the rest of this entry »

I am really happy about this.  I spent a great deal of time on the new site and I think it looks great.  We originally had the site designed entirely in flash but because we wanted more user interaction, it just made sense to move to a content management system, or CMS.  I can update and add stories on the fly but I can still retain all the flash objects for multimedia stuff.  Take a look and tell me what you think.

One more thing, it works in Internet Explorer, for the most part, but it works SO much better in every other browser.

From the last show @ Aqua Lounge.  We had a good time @ Aqua.  Great sound, “Loungy” laid back atmosphere.  You can see more of the show here

Are we done yet? What a week I’ve had. If not the show, than the newly updated Check One Two Website (It’s almost done), and of course, Hanukkah. Don’t get me wrong, I love Hanukkah. Before I converted, it was the only Jewish Holiday I knew of, which is funny because as Jewish holidays go, this is literally at the bottom of the list.

More importantly though, it’s a time for family, and because of the distance between Christmas and Hanukkah this year, it has really allowed us to focus on “our week”. It doesn’t hurt that all of the stores are fully stocked with product too. See, there are benefits to being Jewish. Read the rest of this entry »

While on vacation in Alaska, I took a large amount of pics, of which, I still haven’t printed out. Don’t tell my wife. Anyway, my friend, Linda Latta of lindalatta.com was gracious enough to use one of my pics as inspiration for one of her poems. Enjoy her work here.

Trackback Tutorial

This is a wonderful page to help you understand when to use a trackback and when to use a pingback. The blogger also allows you to test to see if it works by testing it directly on their blog! Thanks to them.

P.S. If you use wordpress, as I do, all you have to do is copy the trackback into the actual post and it does the rest. Very cool feature for wordpress users.

I’m been so busy lately that I can’t even write a simple blog, BUT, now that my friend Linda has got hers going, I couldn’t just sit here with a blank page. I’m a web designer without a webpage. Stupid. My next project is to get my site up, along with 3 others I’m working on. See you soon.

BTW – Check out my friends page..she’s a very talented writer.
